Peru's Embassy in Japan and first Nikkei parliamentarian agree on joint actions

Peru's Ambassador to Japan, Roberto Seminario, received a visit from Japanese parliamentarian of Peruvian origin, Jesus Fukasaku, who recently became the first Nikkei legislator (descendant of Japanese immigrants) in the Asian country.

During the meeting, Fukasaku expressed his gratitude for the support received from the Peruvian community residing in Kanagawa, the prefecture he represents.

In this regard, he stated his commitment to contribute to strengthening bilateral relations with Japan.

During the visit, both authorities agreed to undertake joint actions to reactivate exchanges between the Peru-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Leagues, in line with the Roadmap adopted on November 17 by the leaders of both countries in Lima.

Moreover, Fukasaku stressed his intention to become a bridge between the Japanese Parliament and Latin American countries.

Lastly, he reaffirmed his commitment to work in favor of his constituents, with special attention to the Peruvian community residing in Japan.
