officially established a multisectoral working group to formulate an update to the National Migration Policy.
The measure was made official through Ministerial Resolution No. 333-2026-RE, published in the Legal Regulations bulletin of Official Gazette El Peruano.
The group will be chaired by Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It will include representatives from the Ministries of Labor and Employment Promotion; Interior; Women and Vulnerable Populations; Development and Social Inclusion; Education; Production; Justice and Human Rights; Health; and Culture.
It will also include representatives from the National Superintendence of Migrations, National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (RENIEC), National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT), National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), and Pension Standardization Office (ONP).
The chairmanship will be exercised by the Director General of the Directorate General for Peruvian Communities Abroad and Consular Affairs, who oversees and coordinates the group's activities.
Meanwhile, the Technical Secretariat is headed by the Director of the Migration Policy Directorate, which falls under the Directorate General for Peruvian Communities Abroad and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Likewise, the resolution establishes that the multisectoral working group will remain in force for 24 months from the date of its installation to fulfill its functions.
The resolution also provides for the publication of the ministerial resolution on the digital platform of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Office General for Strategic Communication and International Image Projection is responsible for its publication.
