As part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' strategy aimed at strengthening existing ties between Peru and African continent countries, the Directorate General of Africa, the Middle East, and Gulf Countries organized the fourth edition of the virtual conference series "Meet the Team."

It is a virtual space that, since 2022, has sought to promote a more dynamic dialogue between Peruvian officials and the representatives of the African embassies accredited to Peru from Argentina, Brazil, and Chile.

This year, the initiative —which included two sessions, held on May 30 (Spanish) and June 5 (English)— featured the participation of the African diplomatic missions of Angola, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Sudan, Tunisia, and Zimbabwe, as well as the embassies of Peru in Argentina, Algeria, Brazil, Chile, Ghana, Morocco, and South Africa.

As part of the event, the cultural platform "Peru in Africa" was presented, which brings together the main cultural diplomacy actions with the African continent, including the Peruvian-African Friendship Day, the African Film Festival, and the Cumanana Cultural Bulletin.

During the meetings, the African representatives were invited to participate in these activities and expressed their gratitude to the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its efforts.

Similarly, they conveyed their interest in considering this space of interaction as an appropriate opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations.

The "Meet the Team" 2025 edition, like the previous ones, reaffirms Peru's commitment to a foreign policy focused on openness toward Africa.
