The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte reaffirmed her administration's commitment to continue promoting investment in Peru jointly with the private sector to reduce social gaps —within a framework of respect for the rule of law, democracy, and the Constitution.

Mrs. Boluarte held a meeting with inPERU association representatives at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

During the gathering, the top official affirmed that the Executive Branch is working relentlessly on maintaining peace and seeking development through investments that enable the Peruvian State to rely on resources to meet social demands.

Likewise, she stressed that this joint effort undertaken by the State and the private sector will contribute to the objective of providing a substantive solution to issues such as poverty through investment in basic sanitation, health, education, roads, and job creation —without any corruption.

In turn, inPERU head Fernando Romero recalled that during the recent trips made by the guild to Colombia, England, Spain, and the United States, there was a favorable assessment by the business sector regarding the constitutional succession in Peru.

Similarly, he explained that these occasions made it possible to clarify the events that had occurred on December 7, 2022, when ex-President Pedro Castillo attempted to carry out a coup, resulting in the constitutional succession by Mrs. Boluarte's administration, which is interested in closing social gaps, as well as boosting investment and development in a social peace environment.

In this sense, the aforementioned countries indicated that Peru is seen as a reliable partner, where legal stability and clear rules prevail for those who wish to invest in the South American country.

On this occasion, President Boluarte was joined by Ministers Ana Cecilia Gervasi (Foreign Affairs), Daniel Maurate (Justice-Human Rights), Hania Perez de Cuellar (Housing), and Raul Perez Reyes (Production).

Representing inPERU were its former Chairman, Francis Stenning; lawyer and retired Ambassador, Carlos Pareja; and economist Elena Conterno.

inPERU is composed of the Peruvian Finance Association (APEF), the Peruvian Association of Insurance Companies (Apeseg), the Peruvian Association of Banks (Asbanc), the Association of Pension Fund Administrators (Asociacion de AFP), the Lima Stock Exchange (BVL), the Central Registry of Securities and Liquidations (Cavali), the National Confederation of Private Business Institutions (Confiep), and the Association of Capital Market Promoting Companies (Procapitales).
