Peru: President reaffirms commitment to guide Cusco and Puno development initiatives

For the second time, the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte held a meeting with mayors of Puno.

On this occasion, Mrs. Boluarte met with 11 district mayors from said region and other three local authorities from Cusco.

During this event, the Head of State addressed the projects urgently required by those jurisdictions.

Similarly, the top official agreed with mayors on the importance of working together, supported by social peace, dialogue, and unity, as this is the path towards development.

The president welcomed the courage of mayors to take the lead in seeking to improve their districts.

Likewise, she reaffirmed her commitment to guide initiatives in health; water-sanitation; education; and transportation sectors so as to close social gaps.

In this sense, the top official announced the start of efforts for the next delivery of ambulances and the improvement of access roads to districts.

"Whoever loves the homeland wants its development and progress," said Mrs. Boluarte, who affirmed that the Executive Branch is firmly committed to the objective of boosting Peruvian citizens' development in every region.


This event was held at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
