The
President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra currently leads a new session of the Council of Ministers, joined by
Prime Minister Walter Martos.
The session takes place at the Lima-based Government Palace and sees the participation of the Ministerial Cabinet.
On Tuesday, Martos will attend the Congress of the Republic to present the Government's general policy and request the confidence vote of legislators.
The plenary session to receive the Prime Minister and his Cabinet is set for Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
In accordance with Article 130 of the Constitution, the
President of the Council of Ministers must attend Congress —joined by his Cabinet— to present the Government's general policy and the principal measures pursued by the Executive Branch.
