Peru: President Jeri swears in new Cabinet

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, on Tuesday administered the oath of office to Prime Minister Ernesto Julio Alvarez Miranda.

Alvarez Miranda will lead the Transition and Reconciliation Cabinet made up of the following Ministers:

Foreign Affairs: Hugo Claudio de Zela Martinez

Defense: Cesar Francisco Diaz Peche

Economy and Finance: Denisse Azucena Miralles Miralles

Interior: Vicente Tiburcio Orbezo

Justice and Human Rights: Walter Eleodoro Martinez Laura

Education: Jorge Eduardo Figueroa Guzman

Health: Luis Napoleon Quiroz Aviles

Agrarian Development and Irrigation: Vladimir Hernan Cuno Salcedo

Labor and Employment Promotion: Oscar Fausto Fernandez Caceres

Production: Cesar Manuel Quispe Lujan

Foreign Trade and Tourism: Teresa Stella Mera Gomez

Energy and Mines: Luis Enrique Bravo de la Cruz

Transportation and Communications: Aldo Martin Prieto Barrera

Housing, Construction, and Sanitation: Wilder Alejandro Sifuentes Quilcate

Women and Vulnerable Populations: Sandra Liz Gutierrez Cuba

Today's event took place at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

Jeri Ore was sworn in as new Head of State on October 10, following the presidential impeachment and removal from office of Dina Boluarte Zegarra on the grounds of permanent moral incapacity, as approved by Congress.
