Peru: President Jeri supervises educational institution in Ayacucho region

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, on Wednesday conducted supervision at Industrial Educational Institution No. 12 "Cristo Rey" located in Coracora, Ayacucho region.

The Head of State made this visit as part of his official activities in the country's southern region.

On this visit, the top official was accompanied by a group of ministers, as well as Ayacucho Region Governor Wilfredo Oscorima.

During the supervision, President Jeri visited the facilities and workshops where the 350 students at this educational institution are receiving training.

Also present were Ministers Vicente Tiburcio (Interior), Cesar Diaz (Defense), Miguel Espichan (Environment), and Oscar Fernandez (Labor).

Subsequently, the top official toured the streets of Coracora, capital of Parinacochas province. There, he received expressions of affection from the local population.

Coracora Hospital visit

During this tour, President Jeri supervised the new Coracora Hospital, benefiting this area's population as well as residents of nearby communities.

On this visit, the Head of State was also accompanied by Health Minister Luis Quiroz, with whom he inspected the patient care facilities, verifying the hospital’s infrastructure.

Coracora Main Square

At the end of his tour of Coracora, in front of the city’s cathedral, the President announced that he had received many requests from the population linked to sanitation, communications, and education.

Regarding this last issue, the Head of State announced that a transfer worth S/3 million (US$889,152) will be allocated to make the university in the area a reality.

"I have taken note of all your needs. I will meet with the relevant part of the Executive Branch, but it is clear that we, the authorities, will push things forward," he concluded.
