The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, recently led a new operation in Lima's Villa Maria del Triunfo, Lince, and Cercado districts to strengthen citizen security efforts, as part of the government's commitment to restore peace to Peruvians and win the fight against crime.

The Head of State visited the command post set up in Villa Maria del Triunfo in the early hours of Sunday.

There, he inspected the work carried out by the combined forces of the Peruvian National Police (PNP), the Armed Forces, and the municipal security service to reduce crime in this district.

Later, the top official took part in patrolling activities through Lince streets to monitor identity checks on individuals and vehicles, as well as the deployment of law enforcement in areas hit by high crime rates.

The President concluded his tour in Cercado de Lima, where he joined the police and the Armed Forces to oversee nighttime surveillance and patrol operations for the benefit of citizens.

Thus, the government reaffirms its commitment to all Peruvians to work continuously in order to reduce common crimes, extortion, and contract killings.
