on Thursday participated in the ceremony marking the inauguration of refurbished Educational Institution Maria Parado de Bellido located in Jose Leonardo Ortiz district, Chiclayo province, Peru's northern Lambayeque region.
Educational Institution No. 10945 Heroina Maria Parado de Bellido was rebuilt within the framework of the Government-to-Government Agreement (G2G) with the United Kingdom.
The school has top-level international standards for the benefit of 570 students and teachers —in one of the districts with the greatest infrastructure deficit.
"This first-class school is one of the 765 completed by the ARCC for the benefit of more than 120,000 students in 13 regions of the country that were affected by Coastal El Niño Phenomenon," he underlined.
The Head of State specified that the ARCC delivered 86 schools in Lambayeque, which have benefited around 20,000 students of the three educational levels.
The school will benefit 570 primary school students with a first-rate infrastructure consisting of 10 classrooms with new furniture, a library, a pedagogical innovation classroom, a kitchen, a dining room, an elevator and inclusive railings, a fire-fighting system, and strategically-installed surveillance cameras. The corresponding investment totaled S/24 million (US$6.25 million).
In Lambayeque region, S/184 million (about US$47.94 million) has been invested in the education sector for the reconstruction of five schools —within the framework of the Government-to-Government Agreement with the UK.
