The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo called on the heads of State-run institutions, as well as on political and social leaders, to dialogue for the sake of governability in Peru.

"Following the spirit with which my administration began, and which is expressed in the OAS recommendations, I call on the heads of State-run institutions, as well as on the country's political and social leaders, to dialogue and ensure governability," Mr. Castillo expressed on his official Twitter account on Thursday evening.

The top official indicated that the preliminary report of the OAS High-Level Group on the situation in Peru confirmed that his administration has been a target of destabilizing attacks by a political group that undermines the popular vote.

However, Mr. Castillo affirmed that he will continue to work for the constitutional rule of law and for a prosperous country that respects the State powers.

"I reaffirm that, despite everything, I will continue working for the validity of the constitutional rule of law, the balance of powers, democracy founded on the popular will, and for a prosperous country that respects the powers of the State," he expressed.

Moreover, Mr. Castillo said the country must meet citizens' needs that have been postponed for many years, for which reason everyone is needed.

"As well as rejecting destabilization, wherever it comes from. It is time to provide a swift solution to our people's needs postponed for many years. Peru needs us all," he concluded.
