During the meeting, both leaders addressed an orderly, clean, and transparent transition process, reaffirming their mutual commitment to institutional continuity and the country’s democratic strengthening.
As previously reported, on July 9, the president arrived at the Popular Force Party headquarters in Lima's San Isidro district to formally invite the president-elect to hold a meeting at Government Palace in order to exchange ideas for the good of the country.
Following the meeting, the Head of State reiterated his congratulations to Fujimori on her victory in the 2026 presidential election.
Last Wednesday, the National Elections Board (JNE) presented Keiko Fujimori with her credentials as President-elect of the Republic for the 2026–2031 term.
