Peru: Presidency and PCM greet Defense Ministry on 39th anniversary

The Presidency of the Republic on Wednesday extended greetings to the Ministry of Defense (Mindef) on its 39th anniversary, highlighting its role as a guarantor of national sovereignty.

Through its account on X, it expressed recognition for the dedicated service of the Armed Forces and defense sector members.

The Presidential Office noted that these men and women work tirelessly for the peace and development of all Peruvians, with discipline and courage.

"Honor and loyalty at the service of the nation! We salute the Ministry of Defense on its anniversary, a fundamental institution that guarantees sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the constitutional order of our homeland," the post stated.

Similarly, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) underscored the 39 years of service provided by the Ministry of Defense to the nation.

It also recognized the commitment of its civilian and military personnel to the country and the well-being of all Peruvians.

"Its work is essential to addressing national challenges and safeguarding our sovereignty. Happy anniversary!" the PCM expressed.
