In her welcoming remarks, the high-ranking official stated that the Executive Branch's mission is aimed at "delivering a more orderly State, with clear rules, functioning institutions, and a climate of confidence that allows us to look to the future with optimism."
The Cabinet chief underscored that stability is a public good that protects families, entrepreneurs, workers, and future generations.
She added that Peru moves forward when unity and responsibility prevail.
Miralles highlighted CAF's role as a strategic partner for the country, noting that its technical and financial support strengthens infrastructure, advances social development, and consolidates institutional capacities.
The Prime Minister stressed that holding this meeting on Peruvian soil reflects regional confidence in the government's ability to lead a transition period with maturity, responsibility, and democratic commitment.
"The government led by President Jose Maria Balcazar has a clear task: to steer an orderly transition that guarantees political stability, social peace, as well as free and transparent elections. And we are doing so with an unwavering principle: the country's interest stands above any other consideration," she stated.
Democratic foundations
The high-ranking official stated that this transition period represents an opportunity to reaffirm Peru's democratic foundations by consolidating a stable environment that enables a new cycle of growth and well-being.
The Prime Minister noted that efforts are being strengthened to prevent and respond to El Niño phenomenon, enhance public security nationwide, and ensure that the upcoming electoral process is conducted with full transparency and legitimacy.
The Cabinet chief also highlighted the progress achieved, including sustained economic recovery and the creation of tangible opportunities, which she said stem from firm decisions and a clear commitment to stability.
She added that Peru presents itself to the region with institutional responsibility and the conviction that, united, it is possible to turn challenges into opportunities.
Delegations from Latin American and Caribbean countries participated in the meeting, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Peru, among others.
In addition, the McKinsey report "A Century of Plenty," which examines global economic progress and the challenges to achieving higher levels of prosperity in the coming decades, was presented.
