Regarding the energy generated according to the source, the hydroelectric plants at the national level in January achieved a production of 3,357 GWh, that is, 16% more than the figure recorded in the same month last year, due to increased availability of this resource.
According to the indicators published by the Minem’s Electricity General Directorate, energy production figures by geographical area, as of January 2020, show that around 80% of national production comes from central Peru (Lima, Huancavelica and Callao).
