The National Superintendence of Migrations, in coordination with the Peruvian National Police (PNP), carried out a large-scale migration verification and inspection operation over the weekend at various locations in Lima's San Martin de Porres district.

More than 340 foreigners were checked, and 93 of them were found to be in an irregular status.

After the evaluations, the Lima Zonal Migrations Office issued 36 deportation orders to foreigners for entering the country irregularly and violating migration security, through the Special Exceptional Administrative Sanctioning Procedure (PASEE).

The police were in charge of carrying out the deportations.

More than 50 inspection agents were deployed during the operation to verify the immigration status of foreigners.

The Migramovil —a unit equipped with modern technology and equipment to conduct the necessary checks— was used for the biometric registration of foreigners found to be in irregular immigration status.

Additionally, personnel from the San Martin de Porres Municipality, the Armed Forces, and the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (RENIEC) participated in the operation.

So far this year, the Migrations Office has issued over 3,000 deportation orders to foreigners who had entered Peru irregularly and violated migration security, through the Special Exceptional Administrative Sanctioning Procedure (PASEE).

This procedure allows for the rapid deportation of foreigners within a maximum of 24 hours for entering Peru without complying with migration regulations and/or posing a threat to national security and public order.

Deportation and mandatory exit orders for foreigners are carried out by the Peruvian National Police (PNP) through its various units.
