The meeting took place at the Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters in Lima, according to its official account on the X platform.
The Speaker of Morocco's House of Representatives was accompanied at the meeting by Moroccan Ambassador to Peru, Amin Chaoudri.
The president-elect arrived at the Ministry’s headquarters shortly after 9:00 a.m. (local time). There, she will take part in activities ahead of the 2026 presidential inauguration ceremony.
Upon arriving at Torre Tagle Palace, located in Downtown Lima, Fujimori greeted reporters and entered the building without making any statements.
She was greeted at the venue by Carlos Espa, who was announced the previous day as the incoming administration’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
There, Fujimori Higuchi will be awarded the Order of the Sun of Peru in the rank of Grand Collar and the Order of Merit for Distinguished Services in the rank of Special Grand Cross.
Later, the president-elect will hold bilateral meetings with the presidents of Paraguay, Chile, Ecuador, Honduras, and Bolivia attending the 2026 Presidential Inauguration Ceremony.
