Peru Gift Show 2008 to gather 140 importers from North, South America, Europe & Asia

The tenth edition of Peru Gift Show, an international fair that offers the best selection of handcrafts and handmade home accessories produced in Peru, will bring together around 140 importers from North and South America, Europe, and Asia, pointed out Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).

"Handicraft represents an important part of our culture because it is the cultural expression of our ancestors which has been passed on from generation to generation", stated Peru’s minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Mercedes Aráoz.

This important international event will take place on September 23 and 24 at the Jockey Plaza shopping center in Lima, in the frame of the celebrations for World Tourism Day.

She pointed out that this fair will offer the best and most varied selection of handcrafts and handmade home accessories produced in Peru, as well as some other articles with modern designs inspired by the cultural traditions of diverse sectors of the country.

"At this fair, both national and foreign visitors will be able to appreciate utilitarian and decorative ceramic, besides wooden and glass accessories, furs and jewelry, among others", she said.

There will be 120 exhibitors from 12 regions: Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Puno, Cajamarca, Piura, Junín, Huánuco, Ayacucho, La Libertad, Ucayali and Lambayeque.
