The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its Directorate-General for Economic Promotion, held a working meeting with representatives of the Peru-Australia Chamber of Commerce (APCCI) as part of the preparatory activities for the participation of a Peruvian delegation in the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC 2026).

This event will take place in Sydney from October 25 to 29. It is regarded as Australia's leading mining industry forum and a global benchmark for attracting investment.

The Ministry emphasized that Peru's participation will be crucial in consolidating the South American country's position in the current global economic landscape, while also promoting the inflow of responsible investment.

The event annually brings together top government officials, global investors, and technology leaders involved in the critical minerals value chain, "a sector in which Peru is regarded as an indispensable strategic player in the global energy transition due to its geological potential."

The government agency highlighted that, in line with the guidelines of Peru's foreign policy, it is promoting coordinated efforts between the public and private sectors.

The aim is to ensure that the national delegation in Sydney presents a unified image of the country's strengths: legal certainty, macroeconomic stability, and a highly competitive project portfolio.

The meeting, held at Torre Tagle Palace in Lima, was attended by APCCI Chairman Carlos Castro Silvestre and Executive Director Solange Blotte.

"These working meetings are part of the economic diplomacy strategy aimed at positioning Peru in global markets as a reliable trading partner, a resilient economy, and a trusted destination for sustainable investments that generate jobs and promote technology transfer for the country," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.
