Peru: Foreign Affairs Minister meets with OAS/EOM Chief

Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Carlos Espa received the Organization of American States (OAS) Electoral Observation Mission (EOM) Chief, Victor Rico, on the occasion of the recently held 2026 Regional and Municipal Elections.

The Cabinet member highlighted that OAS observation and its recommendations have helped provide guarantees in Peru's electoral processes, as well as strengthen the country's commitment to democracy and the rule of law.

Furthermore, Minister Espa held an audience with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Choi Jong-uk.

Both dignitaries discussed the excellent level of bilateral relations.

They also addressed their shared interest in continuing to deepen the friendship and cooperation ties between Peru and Korea, within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership they have maintained since 2012.
