The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) reported that Peruvian goods exports increased 33% year-on-year during the first seven months of 2026, reaching US$63.521 billion.

This has enabled overseas sales to record uninterrupted growth over the past 27 months.

Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Rogers Valencia highlighted that this performance demonstrates the strengthening of Peru's export offering in international markets.

The government official reaffirmed Mincetur's commitment to continuing to promote the competitiveness and sustainability of the country's businesses.

The growth was driven mainly by higher mineral sales, which totaled US$46.284 billion, a 49.2% increase.

This was largely attributable to high international copper and gold prices.

Among the standout products were copper (US$21.607 billion; 43.3%), gold (US$16.394 billion; 56.9%), lead and silver concentrates (US$3.504 billion; 105.7%), and zinc (US$1.669 billion; 11%).

Regarding the chemical sector, higher sales of organic and inorganic products (US$363 million; 14.1%), essential oils, cosmetics, and surfactants (US$89 million; 6.8%), and medicines (US$53 million; 5.1%) stood out.

Meanwhile, the number of exporters continued to grow during the first seven months of 2026, rising 3% to 8,305.
