The Government of Peru on Tuesday called on the international community to collaborate with the people and Government of the sister Republic of Cuba.
"The Government of Peru supports the right of Cuban people to demonstrate freely and peacefully," the tweet reads.
Additionally, "it (Peru) calls on (Cuban) authorities to consider their requirements in a spirit of democracy."
Since the weekend, the main Cuban cities have witnessed demonstrations in which citizens express their stance on the social situation existing in the island.
