The action was carried out by the VRAEM Special Command (CE-VRAEM) through the 2nd Wari Infantry Brigade, in coordination with agents from the Anti-Drug Directorate (DIRANDRO).

The BCT No. 34's Combat Group entered the collection point, where eight sacks containing brick- and oval-shaped packages were found. These were secured, identified, and handed over for the corresponding investigations.

The government underscored that this operation reinforces its commitment to the VRAEM's pacification and development, through joint work involving the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces, and the Peruvian National Police.

The press release said the operation demonstrates that the coordinated action by the Peruvian State continues to yield concrete results in the fight against drug trafficking.

The Defense Ministry reported that the Armed Forces maintain a permanent operational presence in the VRAEM, with strengthened capabilities to confront criminal organizations.
