Peru and Poland held the 10th Political Consultations Mechanism, which will enable them to strengthen their bilateral relationship and reaffirm, through a Roadmap, their commitment to political dialogue, economic cooperation, academic exchange, and judicial collaboration.
During the ceremony, the shared principles and values benefiting international peace were highlighted. On the economic front, both authorities agreed on the need to boost economic and trade ties.
Additionally, regarding the tourism sector, they acknowledged the existing investment potential and highlighted that the flow of Polish tourists to Peru has surpassed pre-pandemic levels, indicating an opportunity for the South American country.
At the meeting, both parties agreed to continue promoting the "Working Holiday Program" for young people aged 18 to 30, in effect since July 2024, which facilitates cultural exchange and youth mobility.
Furthermore, Undersecretary Radwan-Röhrenschef announced that Peru will be included in the Stefan Banach and Ulam scholarship programs for master's and doctoral studies at Polish universities.
Moreover, the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters was signed, an instrument that will enable more effective bilateral cooperation in fighting corruption and organized crime. Both countries also defined a Roadmap to follow up on the commitments undertaken.
