The 100% national quick count conducted by Ipsos showed that presidential candidate Roberto Sanchez (Together for Peru Party) received 50.3% of the vote, while Keiko Fujimori (Popular Force Party) obtained 49.7% in the runoff election held Sunday.
The result falls within the margin of error, making it a statistical tie.
Official results from the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) are still pending.
The quick count was carried out by Ipsos Peru on behalf of NGO Transparencia and in collaboration with the National Democratic Institute (NDI).
