on Thursday rejected the narrative alleging election fraud without evidence, following Peru's presidential runoff election.
The statement was released via the mission's official X account.
"The EU EOM has found no indications of intentional manipulation at any stage of the electoral process and calls on all stakeholders to respect the outcome of the electoral process and the will of the electorate," the document said.
The EU EOM also noted that it continues to monitor the vote-counting process for Peru's presidential runoff election, which is being conducted in accordance with the legal provisions.
"The EU EOM urges political actors to respect the decisions of the competent authorities, refrain from making statements that undermine the legitimacy of the electoral process, and comply with the principles of the Electoral Ethics Pact. This includes using the legal mechanisms established to challenge the results," the release noted.
Likewise, the EU EOM urges electoral authorities to proclaim the final results as swiftly as possible and to promptly resolve any challenges to those results.
It also recalled that further details on the EU EOM's findings up to those dates can be found in its preliminary statements published on April 14 and June 9.
"The mission will present its final report and recommendations in mid-August," the release concluded.
