Peru’s Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) today announced that in the coming days passengers won’t have to wait in lines to pay the departure tax TUUA or single fee for airport use at Jorge Chavez international airport.
"The exact date of this change will be announced in the next few days. This fee will be charged to the airline tickets," said Minister of Transport and Communications, Enrique Cornejo.
In September last year, the MTC reported that it had earlier suggested that the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) could incorporate such a fee in airline tickets in order to improve the quality of airport services nationwide.
