The national campaign "Marca Peru" (Peru Brand) has won two Bronze Lions in the Outdoor and Public Relations categories at the 2012 Cannes Lions Festival in France.

Launched by Peru's export and tourism promotion board Promperu, Marca Peru includes a 15 minute documentary titled "From Perú for Peru", recorded in the small town of Peru, Nebraska.

The documentary, created by Young & Rubicam, aimed at making Peruvians feel proud of their country and culture and by doing so having them feel also proud of their new country brand.

The award is yet another distinction to add to the thirty international prizes Marca Peru has already received - including Gran Sol de Iberoamerica, Grand Effie and Webby awards.

Other Peruvian winners were Volver d6, which picked up a Bronze in the Media category for its "The little guy inside the ATM machine" work for BBVA Continental Foundation, and JWT which won Bronze in the Direct category for its Enersur GDF "Leaving the light off" work.
