Peruvian winger Reimond Manco has apologized to his native country for his indiscipline while on international duty and said he wants to return to the national team.

Manco, Schalke 04 striker Jefferson Farfan and Universitario defender John Galliquio made an unauthorised sortie to a casino in Panama City after Peru had lost a friendly 1-0 to the Central American country in mid-October.

Following the incident, Peru coach Sergio Markarian said he will not recall the trio of players for the foreseeable future.

"I made a mistake, but we learn from them. I apologize to the country, to the coaching staff and my teammates. I will keep doing my best in case the coach decides to change his mind," said Manco.

“I would give my life for Peru” said the former PSV winger who was named player of the tournament at the 2007 South American under-17 championships.
