Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games to have exclusive broadcast in Peru

Fans will be able to follow all the competitions of the event

The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games will mark a new era in sports coverage for Latin America, with extensive, continuous, and accessible broadcasting that will allow millions of people to follow every competition of the premier Olympic event.

This announcement is part of the agreement reached between the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and America Movil, which consolidates the company as the holder of media rights for several Olympic Games.

The agreement includes the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, the French Alps 2030 Winter Olympic Games, and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, as well as the Youth Olympic Games during the same period.

The reach of this alliance extends to Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela, ensuring that millions of fans can enjoy the Olympic movement throughout the region.

In this context, Claro Sports will exclusively bring the excitement of the upcoming Olympic Games to all of Latin America at no additional cost to its users, reaffirming its leadership in broadcasting world-class sporting events and its commitment to promoting sports.

Through this agreement, America Movil obtains exclusive broadcasting rights on Pay-TV and Pay-Digital, allowing it to offer all competitions, special content, and innovative experiences centered around the Olympic spirit.

Kirsty Coventry, President of the IOC Executive Board, highlighted: “We are delighted to extend our cooperation to ensure broad and consistent coverage of the Olympic Games in the region. AMX is a solid partner, and we are confident that it will offer a first-class experience to fans.”

Coverage at no extra cost


With this agreement, users will be able to enjoy complete Olympic coverage at no additional cost, reaffirming America Movil and Claro's mission to bring quality and accessible sports content to millions of people in the region.

Claro Sports will continue to put sports and the audience at the heart of its offering, driving innovation in its broadcasts and expanding the reach of the Olympic movement in Latin America, as it has been doing since the beginning of its relationship with the IOC in 2014.

In Peru, fans will have access to all Olympic programming through Claro Sports, available on channel 3 of Claro Video and Claro TV+, guaranteeing broad and continuous coverage of the event.
