The celebration marking the 202nd anniversary of Peruvian Independence also took place in other countries.

In the Dominican Republic, the government of said country —in coordination with the Peruvian Embassy in Santo Domingo— illuminated several public premises with the colors of the Peruvian flag.

These premises included La Casona (the main building) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Santiago de los Caballeros city hall, and the Pabellon de las Naciones monument in Santo Domingo.

In Valencia, Spain, a thanksgiving solemn mass was celebrated in the Church of El Salvador and Santa Monica, which houses the image of the Lord of Miracles.

During this Eucharistic service, the words of Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi were transmitted to Peruvians residing abroad.

Canada and Ireland

In the city of Toronto, Canada, the Peruvian Consulate General in said country raised the national flag on the central esplanade at the Office of the Mayor.

In addition to Peruvian diplomatic representatives, the ceremony featured the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and representative of King Carlos III, Elizabeth Dowdeswell; Ontario Premier Doug Ford; and Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow.

In Dublin, the capital of Ireland, the Peruvian flag was raised in Merrion Square Park, one of the most emblematic public places in said city.

Such activity was headed by Peruvian Ambassador to Ireland Ana Maria Sanchez.

The event also recognized the role of the Chilean of Irish descent, Bernardo O'Higgins, in the Peruvian independence process.

In this sense, a wreath was laid at the bust of Bernardo O'Higgins, located in the above-mentioned park.
