The non-profit private association inPERU, which promotes investment and the development of capital and financial markets at the local and international levels, is returning to New York, one of the world's leading financial centers, for its 19th roadshow.

The objective is to meet with foreign investors to promote the business opportunities offered by Peru.

The roadshow will also present the main guidelines of fiscal and monetary policy currently being implemented in the South American country.

The delegation representing Peru on October 26-27 will comprise more than 70 leading businesspeople and public- and private-sector officials.

It is expected to be led by Economy and Finance Minister Elmer Cuba.

The delegation is expected to include Central Reserve Bank (BCR) Governor Julio Velarde, Securities Market Superintendent Juan Pichihua, Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion) Executive Director Luis del Carpio, and Lima Stock Exchange Chairman Rafael Carranza, among others.

Over the two days, conferences, roundtables, meetings, and networking sessions will be held with representatives of the international financial market.

During these events, experts in economics, finance, and international trade will share their outlooks on the global economic environment and the specific opportunities Peru offers in key sectors such as mining, infrastructure, agribusiness, technology, and tourism.

The business gathering will take place amid high expectations and greater political predictability following the elections of national, regional, and local authorities in Peru.

However, the country faces greater challenges, including rising insecurity and the effects of the imminent El Niño phenomenon.

In this regard, inPERU President and Cavali Board Chairwoman Mercedes Araoz noted that over the past three decades, Peru has built a solid macroeconomic foundation, supported by technical institutions that have successfully preserved stability even amid high volatility.

"Beyond political cycles and the challenges inherent to our democracy and the forces of nature, Peru has maintained key structural strengths: an active trade policy supported by 22 free trade agreements and an autonomous and proactive monetary policy led by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru," Araoz explained.

"It also has a dynamic private sector that has increasingly incorporated sustainability, innovation, and technological criteria," she added.

Meanwhile, inPERU Executive Director Juan Carlos Mandujano said, "This is a key moment to once again showcase abroad the great potential of our country's various economic sectors in one of the world's most important financial centers."

"New York is one of the world's leading financial centers, and it is essential to maintain an active presence among international investors," he noted.

This will be the seventh visit by an inPERU delegation to New York.

Since its creation, the organization has held 18 roadshows, visited 22 cities across the Americas, Asia, and Europe, and brought together more than 9,000 investors to showcase Peru's diverse economic sectors.

"Through this roadshow, we hope to continue positioning Peru as an attractive destination for foreign investment and to promote the arrival of international investors and delegations interested in our country," Mandujano concluded.
