With the unveiling of a commemorative postage stamp, the Peruvian Embassy in Kuwait led the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both countries.

In his keynote speech, Peru's Ambassador accredited to the State of Kuwait, Carlos Jimenez Gil Fortoul, recalled the historical context of 1975—a year marked by profound global transformations.

The diplomat highlighted that this was the pivotal moment when two geographically distant countries, Peru and Kuwait, decided to establish diplomatic relations.

He also emphasized the symbolic value of postage stamps as a means of communication and mutual understanding between nations.

The celebration included the participation of officials from both countries, including Kuwait's Non-Resident Ambassador to Peru, Talal Almansour; the Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry's Director General for Africa, the Middle East, and Gulf Countries, Jorge Raffo; and Kuwait's Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Americas, Nawaf Al-Ahmad.

All of them highlighted the bonds of friendship between Peru and Kuwait, built on shared values, common principles, and the vision of creating a better future for their citizens.
