reported that the aircraft carrying humanitarian aid sent by the Peruvian Government arrived in Cali on the night of Wednesday, August 12.
Likewise, it thanked President Keiko Fujimori for her solidarity following the magnitude-7.4 earthquake that struck the neighboring country.
"The plane carrying humanitarian aid sent by the Government of Peru to support those affected by the earthquake in Colombia arrived in Cali," the Colombian Ministry reported on social media, posting photographs of the shipment.
"We received 8 tons of food, kitchen supplies, tents, and personal hygiene items sent by President Keiko Fujimori. Thanks to the Government and the Peruvian people for their solidarity with Colombia," it added.
In turn, the Cali Government Secretariat also confirmed the arrival of said shipment at Alfonso Bonilla Aragon Airport, noting that "solidarity with the people of Cali does not stop."
"Thank you, Peru, for standing with Colombia!" it underscored.
In her message, the Peruvian Head of State wished Colombians much faith and strength.
