A Chinese delegation led by Executive Vice President of the China International Publishing Group, Guo Xiaoyong, visited the headquarters of Editora Peru, a state-owned company which publishes the official newspaper El Peruano and operates Andina News Agency.
The delegation includes Director for International Cooperation, Yu Tao; Deputy Director for International Cooperation, Wang Hongwei; and Vice Editor-in-Chief of China Today, Fu Zhibin.
Also, the Editor of China Internet Information Center, Liu Pai; Director of China Today in Latin America, Wu Yongheng; Deputy Director of China Today in Latin America, Zeng Ping; and the Editor of China Today in Peru.
The delegation was welcomed by the General Manager of Editora Peru, Cesar Inga Ballon, and the Director of the official gazette El Peruano and Andina, Delfina Becerra.
The aim of the visit is to strengthen ties with the Peruvian State-owned news agency and newspaper.
Launched in Mexico City in 2004, the Latin American Branch of China Today is in charge of the publishing and distribution of the Spanish edition of China Today in Latin America and the promotion of CIPG books and magazines in this region.
Its distribution covers several Central and South American countries, including Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Panama and Peru.
