BCR: Foreign remittances in Peru up 9.4% in 3Q 2025

Remittances sent by Peruvians working abroad totaled US$1.343 billion in the third quarter of 2025, a 9.4% increase compared to the same period of the previous year, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported.

This level of remittances represents the highest value recorded since the collection of statistics on this indicator began, the issuing entity indicated.

During the period under review, the United States remained the leading country of origin for remittances from abroad.

Furthermore, remittances in the third quarter of this year accounted for 1.5% of GDP, nearly the same as in the same quarter of 2024.
