Casa Peru opens its doors to public in Russia

00:00 | Moscow (Russia), Jun. 19.

Casa Peru in Moscow opened its doors to the public on Monday and received thousands of foreign as well as domestic tourists, the Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) informed.

Launched by Peru's country brand (Marca Peru), the strategy is part of a campaign to promote the Inca nation's wonders in Russia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Casa Peru brings together the best exportable offer from the South American nation's coast, highlands, and jungle. It will run thru June 28 at Manege Exhibition Center, near Moscow's Red Square.

"This innovative platform, launched by Marca Peru, invites us to experience our country by discovering its cultural, gastronomic, and artistic expressions," PromPeru Communications and Country Image Director Isabella Falco noted.

"Besides boosting tourism through the promotion of our diverse destinations, it (Casa Peru) will showcase our exportable offer made up of different products, such as Peruvian superfoods, Andean grains, pisco, specialty coffees, and fine-aroma cacao," she added.

As part of promotion efforts, Casa Peru also has a trailer that will visit Ekaterinburg and Sochi, cities where the national soccer team will play its next two matches. It must be noted this vehicle has already visited Moscow and Saransk

The initiative's main aim is to persuade tourists and locals attending soccer's mega event to become "red-white fans" and cheer the Incas on, as well as travel to the Andean country in the near future.

Thus, Peru's participation in the World Cup tournament—after 36 years— constitutes a unique opportunity to showcase the best of the South American country worldwide.
