Arequipa region's pisco drink will be present at Casa Peru (Peru House), a space the Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) will open to promote the Inca country's exportable offer in Russia during the upcoming FIFA World Cup tournament.
Thanks to this initiative, tourists and locals attending soccer's mega event will be able to taste and learn about Peruvian regions' most representative products.
The Association of Peruvian Exporters (Adex) has launched a process to
select pisco brands that will represent southern Arequipa region
in Russia, Regional Foreign Trade and Tourism Manager Miguel Apaza announced.
In this regard, Adex invited Asociacion ProPisco —an organization made up of 19
pisco brands— to join
Casa Peru on the occasion.
It must be noted this strategy is promoted by PromPeru, through Peru's country brand (
Marca Peru) and in partnership with the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry.
Apaza did not rule out other goods from Arequipa —such as
alpaca fiber, handicrafts or agro-industrial products— may be also showcased at Casa Peru.
He went on to stress the importance of participating in this platform since the selected brands will be included in the
campaign's sponsor catalog.
Casa Peru in Moscow will open its doors on June 18-28, 2018.
