The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday morning affirmed that Peru's stimulus plan responds to the commitment of its people.
These 12 GDP points represent around S/25 billion (about US$7.27 billion), the largest stimulus package in Latin America to face the pandemic, according to economic analysts.
On the other hand, the top official said that —beyond infrastructure or equipment— everyone's commitment will lead to progress and overcoming the difficulties that arise. Therefore, he called for maintaining faith and optimism.
"Because of the difficulties we are going to face, we have to take on the challenges; let's put faith and optimism on it," he concluded.
On this occasion, the President was joined by members of the Council of Ministers. The event was held at the Government Palace in Lima.
Tuesday marks the sixteenth day of mandatory social isolation.
