Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Sunday affirmed his administration expects the Inca country to receive a total of 4.8 million foreign tourists this year, a 9% increase compared to 2018.
In this sense, the Head of State noted that 1.8 million foreigners visited Peru between January and May 2019.
He went on to stress domestic tourism will lead to generating 47 million trips nationwide.
Within this framework, he noted the tourism activity will generate 1.5 million direct and indirect jobs in the current year.
