Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra delivers his Address to the Nation on the occasion of Independence Day anniversary celebrations.

Within this framework, the Head of State mentions the actions undertaken by his administration over the past year and announces the guidelines that will be followed this year.

This marks the second address on such date, as he took office on March 23, 2018.

Independence Day

As is known, Peru celebrates today the 198th anniversary of its Independence from Spain.

The independence process successfully came to an end with the Ayacucho Battle in December 1824.

People all over the country take part in celebrations at main squares, parks and street fairs, where delicious culinary delights can be enjoyed by locals and tourists who also join the celebrations.
