Peruvian FA Min meets with Greek, Brazilian counterparts

Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi held bilateral meetings with her counterparts from Greece and Brazil within the framework of the third EU-CELAC Summit.

As is known, said event brought EU leaders and those from the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) together in Brussels on July 17-18.


Thus, the Peruvian government official met with her Greek counterpart, Georgios Gerapetritis, with whom she discussed the strengthening of common stances on global scope matters.


In order to increase foreign investment in our country, they agreed to a visit by a mission of Greek businesspeople to Peru in 2024, as well as to the exchange of experiences in the tourism sector.


Furthermore, the Cabinet member held a meeting with Brazilian counterpart, Mauro Vieira, with whom she exchanged information about the upcoming Amazon Summit to be held in Belém do Pará, Brazil.

Besides, the Peruvian diplomat highlighted the main role of bilateral cooperation for the management of the Amazon space between both countries.

Previously, the Peruvian minister met with counterparts from Portugal, João Gomes Cravinho; Chile, Alberto van Klaveren; and the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky, with whom she addressed various topics. 

Moreover, Gervasi held a meeting with Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry, in which she reiterated Peru's support for multilateral relief efforts in the Caribbean country.

The Peruvian diplomat is on a trip to Brussels (Belgium) and Geneva (Switzerland), with the aim of continuing to strengthen Peru's position in the international arena.
