on Monday affirmed that —while in office— he will lead a clear and direct government by working closely with the main authorities such as mayors, in order to develop important projects, which can be developed in the coming months.
"Our administration wants to be clear, honest, and direct with you, and we are committed to what we can do. We are not going to make empty promises that merely generate expectations and frustrate them once again," he told Piura's provincial mayors.
Likewise, the top official assured that the works —which he plans to develop in the coming months— will serve to put Peru back on track and give his successor —who will take office on July 28, 2021, following the
April general elections— calm and peace of mind.
Furthermore, the statesman stressed that his administration listens to and learns from national authorities, and has been channeling the main demands of mayors, through ministries, with the aim of completing the pending works and projects.
