The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday indicated that Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) representatives are already in Peru gathering information on protests —at the request of the Government.

"We have invited the IACHR to come to Peru and do its job. From the Ministry of Defense (Mindef) we have given them (representatives) all support to travel to the Ayacucho zone by taking and bringing them back. That means we do not have anything to hide," Mrs. Boluarte underscored in remarks to Radio Exitosa.

Similarly, the Head of State indicated that she had misspoken in a past interview when referring to the role of the Military Police Jurisdiction (FMP) in these investigations. Therefore, she apologized.

The top official indicated that, before giving said interview, she had spoken with the General Commander of the Armed Forces about the investigation carried out by the Public Ministry and stated that all support would be given.
