Peru's PM meets with Chinese Ambassador to Peru

Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano has met with Chinese Ambassador to Peru Liang Yu to discuss various topics of common interest to both countries.

Via social networks, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) reported that the event included the participation of Foreign Affairs Minister Mario Lopez.

Held on Thursday, the gathering addressed "issues of special interest concerning the bilateral relationship, particularly the Chinese cooperation in the fight against COVID-19."

Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) or the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
