Peruvian, Chinese health experts meet to address COVID-19

Members of Peru's COVID-19 Operations Command have met in Lima with expert doctors from China's Nanfang Hospital.

Within this framework, the experts exchanged experiences in prevention, epidemiological monitoring, and treatment of COVID-19 cases.

As is known, the Chinese doctors arrived in Peru last weekend with the aim of reinforcing the fight against the novel coronavirus in the South American country.

It must be noted the Peruvian Government created the COVID-19 Operations Command to lead the organization of all available resources required to combat the pandemic in the nation. The team is led by Dr. Pilar Mazzetti.

The meeting took place on Friday within the framework of a mandatory social isolation imposed to prevent the COVID-19 from further spreading in the country.

Initially set to last from March 16 to 30, the social isolation measure was extended until June 30.
