Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Wednesday announced the formation of an ad hoc working group to guarantee the vaccination against the novel coronavirus across Peru.

"Achieving the vaccination is our priority," she said during a press conference.

In this sense, the high-ranking official argued that the ad hoc group will be composed of a Technical Secretariat led by Carlos Neuhaus.

It will also be made up of officials from the ministries of Health, Interior, Defense, Foreign Affairs, among others, as well as private initiatives.

"The mission will be to contribute to the logistics process for the implementation of the vaccines until these are distributed and there is a deployment across the entire territory in order to ensure that they reach every corner, within the planning scheme of the Ministry of Health," she indicated.

Lastly, the Cabinet chief said that the Executive Branch included in the 2021 budget an extraordinary bonus for all health and administrative sector workers, which will benefit 190,000 people throughout the country.
