Peru's Gareca nominated for FIFA Best Men's Coach

Peru's national soccer team head coach Ricardo Gareca has been nominated for the Best FIFA Men's Coach 2019 Award.

In this sense, FIFA mentioned the Argentine's achievements such as guiding Peru to Copa America final, winning Silver medal, and being the mastermind behind the impressive Copa America victories against Bolivia and Chile

The other coaches competing for the award are Djamel Belmadi (Algeria National Team), Didier Deschamps (France National Team), Marcelo Gallardo (River Plate), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham Hotspur), Fernando Santos (Portugal National Team), Erik Ten Hag (Ajax), and Tite (Brazil National Team). 

The ten-man shortlist for The Best FIFA Men's Coach 2019 Award — based on their respective achievements during the period from 16 July 2018 to 19 July 2019 inclusive— has been compiled by a panel of experts in men's soccer.
