Peru's national soccer team on Wednesday night defeated its Chilean counterpart to move towards the finals at Copa America Brasil 2019.

In the 21st minute, Peruvian midfielder Edison Flores received the ball in the box, which he shot to make the first goal for the red-white team.

Later, Andre Carrillo delivered the football to midfielder Yoshimar Yotun, which he amazingly slid into the net, thus scoring the second goal for the Incas (38th minute).

The first half ended with Peru partially winning the game 2-0.

2nd half

Peru entered the field feeling more confident for the start of the second half.

For its part, Chile did not manage to show any recovery signs.

As a result, Peru's all-time goalscorer Paolo Guerrero received a pass and easily drove the ball into the counterpart's net in the 91st minute.

Before the game came to an end, Inca goalkeeper Pedro Gallese saved a penalty kicked by Chilean Eduardo Vargas.
