Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi held a meeting with the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Peru, Rt Hon David Mundell MP.

The aforementioned parliamentary group seeks to strengthen ties between the UK and the South American country.

During this session, Minister Gervasi explained Peru's outlook and strengths to increase investments and trade with the UK.

The diplomat indicated that Peru continues to actively participate in regional and international platforms —through a pragmatic and proactive foreign policy— such as the Pacific Alliance, APEC, the Andean Community, the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), and its accession process to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Within the framework of 200 years of bilateral relations, both dignitaries committed to working on greater initiatives that strengthen our ties in areas linked to economy, education, and cooperation.
